LED VOLUME PRODUCTION STUDIO · FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE
What Is Kaleidoscope?
Kaleidoscope is a creative production studio in Franklin, Tennessee. A modular LED volume on one wall, a permanent white cyc on the other, and a control room, mix suites, and a mastering room in the same building.
We're a collective of storytellers who stay curious. It's why we ask what a project is for before we talk about how to shoot it.

The LED Volume
More than a backdrop. A world you can work in.
The main wall runs 40 by 13 feet, with two mobile panels that move independently — so a driving scene and a wide performance wrap are two setups in the same room. Real set design fills the foreground: the screen builds the world, the set makes it feel real.
See It On Set
Directors, DPs, and clients judge the shot on the day — not three weeks later in a compositing session.
Stay In Control
Weather, permits, travel days, and changing light stop being variables.

Real Light, Real Reflections

Why Kaleidoscope
Ambitious ideas need a practical place to happen.
PRODUCTION DESIGN, IN-HOUSE
Digital environments and practical sets, designed together by one team. Most stages hand you a screen. The rest of it is what makes a world hold up on camera.
MODULAR, NOT FIXED
The screen moves and reconfigures in sections. The room shapes itself to the project.
LIVE TO MIX TO MASTER, IN ONE BUILDING
Record a live performance in the space and carry it all the way through mixing and mastering without sending it anywhere. As far as we know, nowhere else in Nashville does this under one roof.
KEYS IN HAND, OR THE WHOLE TEAM
Take the space and run your own vision through it, or hand us the project from ideation to completion. Your call, not our constraint.
WE ASK "WHY?" BEFORE "HOW?"
We take projects with an understanding of why it exists. It's the reason the work comes out different.

How To Work With Us
-
Tell us what you're making. The audience, the goal, the references, the timeline. If it's still half-formed, that's fine! Most of the good ones are.
-
We figure out the approach together. Real-time environments, playback plates, physical set, or some combination. We can help you decide what your project actually needs.
-
Build it here. Bring your own crew and run the room yourself, work alongside ours, or hand the whole thing to us. All three are optionsd.
Never worked on a volume before? No problem! Tell us the idea first — we'll walk you through the workflow.
What Are You Creating?
Not sure which to choose? Start with "plan a project" and tell us the idea. We'll point you the right direction.
Questions People Ask
An LED volume is a large, high-resolution screen that displays a digital environment behind live talent, which the camera photographs directly. Unlike green screen, the environment is visible on set and casts real light and reflections onto people, vehicles, and surfaces — so what you see through the lens is close to the finished shot.
Yes — vehicle interiors and moving-road scenes are one of the clearest uses for a volume. The road runs behind and beside the car, reflections land correctly on the glass and paint, and you control the time of day, the weather, and the number of takes without closing a street.
Yes. You can take the keys and run your own production in the space, work alongside our team, or hand us the whole project from ideation to delivery. All three are normal here.
We can build the environment, source and license it, or shoot what you bring. Which option makes sense depends on the look and the schedule, and we'll scope it with you before anyone commits.
Yes, and you can finish it here too. A live performance can be recorded in the room and carried through mixing and mastering in the same building — without sending files to another studio or waiting on another vendor's schedule.
If we're shooting on an environment that already exists, a few weeks is usually enough. A project that needs a world built from scratch can take longer. Tell us the date you're targeting and what you're making, and we'll discuss the timeline and walk you through the process.
Yes. Schedule a tour and we'll walk you through the volume, the stage, and the rooms around it. Bring a project you're considering — the conversation is more useful when there's something specific on the table.
